GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Johanna Egerer (SR/Plymouth, Wisc.) finished off a 4-0 week for the Golden Eagles as the senior middle hitter set a conference record for hitting percentage to lead CU to a 3-0 win over Concordia. Egerer posted a .867 hitting percentage as Cornerstone improves to 15-6 on the year and 8-3 in WHAC play. CU will start the second round of league action on Wednesday when they host Madonna at 7 p.m.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles got two strong offensive matches from Johanna Egerer (SR/Plymouth, Wisc.) and Michaela Van Koevering (SO/Jenison, Mich.) on Friday night as they defeated UM-Dearborn and Great Lakes Christian to improve to 14-6 on the season. The Golden Eagles will remain at home on Saturday as they wrap up the first half of the league season against Concordia at 1 p.m.
LIMA, Ohio – Cornerstone ended a short 2-match losing skid on Wednesday night as they rebounded from an opening-set loss to down the host Racers of Northwestern Ohio 3-1. Playing their second straight match in the Buckeye stats, the Golden Eagles picked up the win to improve to 12-6 on the year and 6-3 in league play. CU will host three matches this weekend beginning Friday at 4 p.m. against Great Lakes Christian.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Cornerstone volleyball team continues their road stretch on Wednesday at Northwestern Ohio before coming back home to Mol Arena where they will finish off the first half of league play over the weekend. The Golden Eagles are 11-6 overall and 5-3 in the WHAC with matches against UNOH, UM-Dearborn and Concordia as well as non-conference for Great Lakes Christian.
PERRYSBURG, Ohio – Playing their third straight match on the road for the week, the Cornerstone volleyball team was unable to hand Lourdes University their first loss as they were defeated 25-20, 26-24, 25-22. The loss drops the Golden Eagles to 11-6 on the year and 5-3 in league play. CU plays at Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday.
