GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After opening the season with a 1-1-0 record last week against a pair of Crossroads League opponents, the men's soccer team heads to the American Northeast for a pair of exhibition contests and a regular season match at Fisher College (Mass.). Head coach Mark Bell and the team have some activities planned while in the greater Boston area as well.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Garrett Nimmo (JR/Livonia, Mich.) put away a rebound off of a Caleb Colp (SO/Stevensville, Mich.) shot just 54 seconds into the Golden Eagles' home opener and it was more than enough to lift Cornerstone to a 3-0 victory over Goshen College. CU added one more goal in the first and a tally in the final minute to finish off their first victory over 2015 as they now prepare to head to Massachusetts for a 3-game tour near Boston.
MISHAWAKA, Ind. – A Pilot goal in the 63' minute was the only tally of the match as Cornerstone fell on the road to Bethel College in their season opener on Wednesday night. The loss sends the Golden Eagles back to Grand Rapids in search of their first win when they will host Goshen College (Ind.) on Saturday night at 8 p.m.
