FINDLAY, Ohio – The young men's track and field lineup continues to show vast improvement as they enter the second half of the indoor season and that showed Friday and Saturday at the Findlay Classic. The team will now have a week off before heading into Indiana to compete at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The track and field team will separate their roster for this weekend's events as head men's coach Rod Wortley will take a group to the University of Findlay while head women's coach Paul Koutz takes the remainder to Indiana University. Cornerstone will go up against numerous NAIA, DII and DI schools throughout the region at both invites.
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Freshman Kevin Vroegh (FR/Dyer, Ind.) has had a pair of impressive showings at the Kelly Family Sports Center on the campus of Grand Valley State in his young career as he set a freshman school record in the 800 on Friday night to lead the men's track and field team to a strong showing at the Mike Lints Alumni Open. CU will return to action next weekend when they participate in the Indoor Classic hosts by the University of Findlay.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Cornerstone track and field teams will make their second appearance of the 2014-15 indoor season out in Allendale as they head to Grand Valley State on Friday to compete in the Mike Lints Alumni Open. HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Cornerstone University Men's Track & Field team competed at the Hillsdale Winter Opener, claiming top-four finishes in six events. Many of the underclassmen had breakout days highlighted by a new freshman record in the shot put by John Piatek (FR/Traverse City, Mich.). CU will return to action next Friday at the Alumni Open hosted by Grand Valley State.
