GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Junior guard Tanner Hostetler (JR/Archbold, Ohio) helped the No. 24 Golden Eagles get back on the winning track as she posted game highs of 16 points and six assists to lead CU to a 66-40 win over Lourdes. Cornerstone is now 3-2 overall while they are 1-1 in league play. The Golden Eagles hit the road for their next three games beginning Saturday at Northwestern Ohio.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After opening WHAC play over the weekend with a tough 58-65 loss to Madonna in Livonia, the women's basketball team will look to even their league record against Lourdes at home. Cornerstone will host the Gray Wolves at 5:30 and it will be live on the Golden Eagles Sports Network with CU students Seth Vanast and Lexie Brunk on the call.
LIVONIA, Mich. – The No. 24 ranked Golden Eagles opened league play today and battled the host Madonna Crusaders throughout the 40 minutes but could not overcome a sluggish shooting day as they fell 65-58. The loss drops Cornerstone to 2-2 on the young season as they will come back home on Wednesday, November 19 for a 5:30 p.m. tip against Lourdes at Mol Arena.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No. 24 ranked women's basketball team will open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play Saturday at Madonna at 1 p.m. Head coach Katie Mattera and her Golden Eagles are riding a 2-game winning streak as they take on the Crusaders who are 1-1 coming into the matchup. GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – For the second straight game a Jill posted a double-double for the No. 24 ranked women's basketball team only this time it was Hendrickson and the junior went for 29 points and 18 rebounds in a 73-61 win over Rochester. The victory is the second in the last three days for CU as they improve to 2-1 on the season as the Golden Eagles will open league play on Saturday at Madonna at 1 p.m.
