GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Head coach Kim Elders and the men's basketball team has been picked to repeat as regular season champions in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference preseason poll. Elders and his team are fresh off a 33-5 campaign that saw that capture the regular season and tourney titles on their way to the NAIA DII National Championship. CU opens the 2015-16 season on October 30 at Indiana Wesleyan.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Former Michigan State Spartan and 2015 NBA Champion Draymond Green is hosting his annual basketball camp next week here on the campus of Cornerstone University. The camp, which features kids aged 7-15, will run from Monday, August 3 through Wednesday the 5th. The camp will conclude with an All-Star game at Forest Hills Northern featuring many of Green's former teammates at MSU.
#1 - Men's Basketball claims NAIA DII National Championship

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – Cornerstone University claimed its third ever NAIA DII National Championship on Tuesday night with a 66-45 win over No. 5 Dakota Wesleyan University (S.D.). The title is the second in the last five years as the Golden Eagles finish their season with a 33-5 overall record. Kyle Steigenga (SO/Holland, Mich.) (FR/Holland, Mich.) was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player and he was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Ben Lanning (SR/Grandville, Mich.) (JR/Grandville, Mich.) and Travis Wells (SR/Eaton Rapids, Mich.) (JR/Eaton Rapids, Mich.).
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The ninth annual Champions of Character High School All-Star basketball games are set for Wednesday, June 17 at Cornerstone University's Mol Arena. Co-Director's of the game Pete Rusticus and Steve Prawdzik have compiled a pair of boy's and girl's teams to compete one last time in front of their hometown fans as game times are set for 5:30 p.m. for the girls and 7p.m for the boys.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The second annual Champions of Character College All-Star basketball games are set for Wednesday, March 25 at Davenport University's Student Center. The national championship Cornerstone men's basketball team will be represented by Ty Mason (SR/Comstock Park, Mich.) and Justin Pepper (SR/Wayland, Mich.) while the women's team will see Jill Hendrickson (JR/Ada, Mich.) and Ashley Niedermayer (SR/Lincolnshire, Ill) suit up one more time. Game times are 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
