ALLENDALE, Mich. – For the second straight week, the CU Track & Field team enjoyed warm weather and good competition. They took full advantage, setting sixteen personal bests, two automatic qualifying marks, one provisional qualifier, a freshman record and a school record at the Al Owens Invite hosted by Grand Valley State University.
HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Cornerstone women took full advantage of the sunny skies and warm temperatures at the Hillsdale Invitational, putting up two school records and five NAIA national qualifying performances. CU will be in action next weekend in the Al Owens Classic hosted by Grand Valley State.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The pair of Cornerstone T&F teams took home all four weekly awards from the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference as announced on Tuesday morning. On the men's side, Jon Brinks (JR/Hudsonville, Mich.) joined John Piatek (FR/Traverse City, Mich.) in sweeping the accolades while on the women's side, Julie Oosterhouse (SR/Byron Center, Mich.) joined Gabriela Holyfield (FR/Belding, Mich.) in taking home the honors. All four will lead CU into their meet this weekend at Hillsdale.
GRANDVILLE, Mich. – The Spring version of the Q Elite Half Marathon has suffered through two years of course flooding as the Grand River rises over sections of the Kent Trail system. While the water level was fine, the race moved up a day to take advantage of clear skies and warmer temperatures.
