GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After starting the league season with three straight road matches, the Cornerstone women's soccer team will play at home on Wednesday vs. WHAC newcomer Lourdes University. Make sure and come out for the 7 p.m. match to support the team and Night of nets. CU will also play a makeup match at Grace Bible on Friday.
LIVONIA, Mich. – The Golden Eagles dug themselves a deep hole on the road today and it led to a 3-1 setback to Madonna. The loss drops Cornerstone to 6-4-0 on the year and 1-2-0 in league action. CU will resume play on Wednesday at home against league newcomer Lourdes at 7 p.m.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone continued their tough road stretch to start the league season and came away with a dominant 2-0 win at Davenport on Wednesday night. The Golden Eagles, who outshot the Panthers 22-7 on the evening, improve to 6-3-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the WHAC. CU will continue their road stretch on Saturday at Noon against Madonna.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The opening stretch of the league season for the women's soccer team only gets tougher this week as the Golden Eagles travel to Davenport and Madonna. CU suffered a 2-1 setback at No. 17 Siena Heights on Saturday and will be looking for their first WHAC win as they bring a 5-3-0 overall record into the matchup with the Panthers on Wednesday.
ADRIAN, Mich. – The Golden Eagles opened the WHAC season on Saturday at No. 17 Siena Heights and after leading 1-0, saw the host Saints score two unanswered goals including the match winner with just under four minutes to play. The 2-1 setback drops Cornerstone to 5-3 on the year and 0-1 in league play. CU returns to the pitch on Wednesday at crosstown rival Davenport.
