The Golden Eagles got things started quickly today against Lawrence Tech.  Gareth Flynn took a pass from Mario Williams and scored just 2:25 into the first half of play.  Lawrence Tech got a shot and three corner kicks in the first fifteen minutes but that would be about all the offense they could generate in the first half of play.  Cornerstone ended up outshooting the Blue Devils 6-2 in the first half of play.  The Golden Eagles would turn up the heat in the second half outshooting Lawrence Tech 12-5 in the second half of play but they couldn't get any more past the Blue Devil keeper.  Miguel Cervantes and Nic Hopkins combined for the shutout.  Cornerstone improved to 5-4-1 in the WHAC and finished 5th.  The Golden Eagles will face #4 Madonna next Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (tentative) in the WHAC Tournament.  Click here to see full tournament schedule.
