GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – No. 7 Cornerstone held a 60-58 lead over No. 5 Davenport but the host Panthers closed out the game on a 20-14 run to even the season series at 1-1 with a 78-72 win. The loss, the first for Cornerstone since December 13, drops the Golden Eagles to 17-5 on the year and 11-3 in the WHAC. CU will look to rebound on Wednesday when they play on the road against Lourdes.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport University Student Center will be the site of one of the top games in the country on Saturday afternoon as No. 7 Cornerstone looks to post a season sweep of No. 5 Davenport. CU defeated the Panthers 87-80 back in early December and Andy Smith will have the call live as the Golden Eagles look to move into first place in the WHAC at 3 p.m.
DEARBORN, Mich. – In a classic trap game before the showdown with No. 5 Davenport on Saturday, the men's basketball team showed no signs of looking ahead as they posted an impressive 87-55 win at UM-Dearborn on Wednesday night. The victory lifts the No. 7 ranked Golden Eagles to 17-4 on the year and 11-2 in league action. Cornerstone faces rival Davenport on the road on Saturday at 3 p.m.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After being in Grand Rapids for their first five games of 2015, the No. 7 ranked men's basketball team hits the road for their next three starting on Wednesday at UM-Dearborn. Head coach Kim Elders and his Golden Eagles narrowly defeated the Wolverines 68-65 back in early December and they will look for a season sweep at 7:30 p.m. inside UM-Dearborn's Fieldhouse.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After dropping the first meeting on the road just over a month ago, the No. 7 ranked men's basketball team came back home and ran away with an 80-46 over Concordia University. The victory, which is the seventh straight overall for the Golden Eagles, lifts them to 16-4 on the year and 10-2 in league play. CU will hit the road for their next three games beginning next Wednesday at UM-Dearborn at 7:30 p.m.
