GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Senior Brittany Murray (SR/Monclova, Ohio.) posted the highest mark in the NAIA in the Heptathlon this past weekend at the Drake Relays and she was named as the WHAC Field Athlete of the Week. Brittany won the award three times during the indoor season and this is her first outdoor nod as the WHAC Championships are coming up this weekend at Aquinas' Houseman Field.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – For the first time this season a Cornerstone baseball player has been recognized by the WHAC for individual awards as sophomore Ben Sheckler (SO/Sparta, Mich.) took home the WHAC Pitcher of the Week accolade. The 6-7 southpaw hurled a complete game shutout against Aquinas on Wednesday in which he allowed just two hits while striking out 10.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone head baseball coach Dave Mitroff reached back into the state of Illinois for his latest recruit as he is pleased to announce the signing of Bollingbrook High School's Mark Gaskins. The signing of Gaskins is the 11th for the baseball program for the 2015 class.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Another local standout will join the Cornerstone women's bowling program beginning in the fall of 2015 as head coach Mike Hall is pleased to announce the signing of West Catholic's Margaret Hassinger. She is the second Falcon to join the Golden Eagles' program over the last two weeks.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – With one week to go before the conference championship, Cornerstone seniors positioned themselves at the top of the WHAC performance lists. Spreading themselves over three meets and three days, the Golden Eagles added new national qualifying marks and a school record.
