HOLLAND, Mich. – The 2015 cross country season is upon us and the Cornerstone University teams return to a familiar site on Saturday to take part in the 50th annual Vanderbilt Invitational hosted by Hope College. The men return 11 student athletes while the women bring back nine as both have eyes set on the WHAC Championships in early November and a run to the NAIA National Championships as well.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After seeing the rest of the conference open league play on Wednesday night, two cross-town rivals will meet up on Friday as Cornerstone heads down the East Beltline to face Aquinas. The match will be one of two over at Aquinas' Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center as CU also plays Indiana South Bend on Saturday.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Head coach Jeff Caminiti returns for his second season at the helm of the men's golf program and the team is eager to get their 2015-16 campaign started on Saturday with the first league event hosted by Aquinas College. CU returns five letter-winners from a year ago including a pair of seniors in Tyler Coyne (SR/Auburn Hills, Mich.) and Brad Clevenger (SR/Zeeland, Mich.).
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Each Wednesday, the Cornerstone University Athletic Department is partnering with the student-run school newspaper - The Herald - in bringing the fans of Golden Eagle Athletics a story about one of our own. We will spotlight one alumni each week and bring you up to speed about "Where are they now".
HOLLAND, Mich. – The 2015 campaign opened today for the CU women's soccer team and unfortunately they were met with a very tough Hope College team as they fell 5-0. The loss sends the Golden Eagles to Chicago over the weekend still in search of their first win as they take on Saint Xavier on Friday and Saint Francis (Ill.) on Saturday. Live video will be available for both matches.
