The Golden Eagles hosted Goshen College tonight and they got a quick start. Tori Johns played a give and go with Kerri Hoffman around the top of the box and a defender poked the ball away but right to Lexie Brisson-Fast that cut the ball by her defender and then slid the ball under the GK with 39:28 left in the half. Brisson-Fast scored her second goal of the game with about 6 minutes left in the half. She got a ball played over the top and the defender misplayed the ball and Brisson-Fast hit a volley past the GK to make it 2-0. Lexie made it 3-0 with just over 4 minutes left in the half. Teigan Mitcham laid a ball out to Jessica Erny who hit a one time cross to Brisson-Fast for a header into the right side of the goal. Cornerstone would go on to outshoot the Maple Leafs 20-2 on the game but wouldn't finid the back of the net again. The Golden Eagles move to 4-0-2 on the season. Cornerstone will have the weekend off and will return to action next Tuesday when they take on Rochester in Pontiac at Ultimate Soccer Arena at 3:00 p.m.
