GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The men's golf team and head coach Jeff Caminiti is pleased to announce their first signee for the 2015 class as they inked Caledonia standout Zach Paavola this past week. Paavola is a four year varsity player for the Scot and joins a young Golden Eagles lineup that gets their 2015 spring season started this weekend at the Shootout at Stonehedge.

LIVONIA, Mich. – After seeing the home Crusaders post a convincing win in the opener on Saturday, the Golden Eagles got a strong pitching performance from Brandon Willard (JR/Sylvan Lake, Mich.) to split with a 2-1 game two win. The 1-1 day leaves Cornerstone at 10-17 overall and 3-7 in league play. CU will return to action on Wednesday when they play a doubleheader at cross-town foe Aquinas College.
LIVONIA, Mich. – Sophomore southpaw Ben Sheckler (SO/Sparta, Mich.) dazzled in the opening game at Madonna on Friday afternoon as he led the Golden Eagles to a split in the WHAC doubleheader. Cornerstone won the opener 2-0 before falling 4-0 in the nightcap. Both teams return to action on Saturday in another DH at Ilitch Ballpark.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After picking up a conference-opening win over Lawrence Tech last weekend, the Cornerstone men's tennis team returned to action on Friday against the best from the Crossroads League in Indiana Wesleyan. Unfortunately, the Golden Eagles came out on the losing end of a 7-2 decision to the Wildcats. The loss drops CU to 16-2 as they will return to action on April 8 at Davenport.
