February 26, 2014

Tess Odegard set a new school record in the high jump and moved up to second in the NAIA with her jump of 5-8 at the WHAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.  After missing twice at 5-6, Odegard added more speed on her final attempt and cleared a personal best and CU freshman record.  Maintaining her speed at the next height, Tess sailed over 5-8 on her first attempt to win the event and add an inch to the CU record.  The old mark of 5-7was set in 2005 by Shannon Burmaster and again in 2008 by Danielle Rowe.
