WHAC Semifinals - Madonna (Review)
To say it was a tale of two halves would be an understatement. Madonna came out on fire against Cornerstone yesterday, storming out to a 41-25 lead. Madonna took a 9 point lead into halftime, 46-37.
The 2nd half saw Wes Hudson playing terrific defense on Travis Schuba, who had been hitting from long range and often in the 1st half. Cornerstone's offense got on track and was too much for Madonna to overcome. The Golden Eagles took down the Crusaders 90-76 setting up a WHAC tourney championship with the top two teams in the conference, Cornerstone and Davenport.
Senior Wes Hudson (Wayland, MI) scored 26 points and sophomore Ben Lanning (Grandville, MI) added 24 points. Senior Anthony Allen (Hudsonville, MI) had 11 assists for the Golden Eagles.
