Dan Possehl is named final WHAC Player of the Week.  The senior from Grand Rapids averaged 15 points and 8.5 rebounds to lead Cornerstone to a pair of key wins and a second-place finish in the conference race.

Possehl hit a big three-pointer in overtime during a 66-59 win at Concordia to start the week. He connected on 6-of-9 from the field for 14 points and pulled in nine rebounds. Possehl ended his final regular season game with a 16-point, eight-rebound performance as Cornerstone upset third-ranked and conference champion Davenport, 83-73. The forward nailed a three-point shot late in the game to seal the win and finished with 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and a steal.
Possehl is averaging 9.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game for the Golden Eagles. Cornerstone, 19-11, enters the WHAC tournament as the second seed and hosts Lourdes (15-14) on Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
