The Golden Eagles came out on fire today against the Panthers of Davenport. Cornerstone outscored Davenport 18-5 in the first 4:17 of the game. They maintain pretty comfortable margin for the seven minutes of play leading 27-17 with 8:36 left in the half. Davenport made an 11-2 run to get within 1 (29-28) with 2:31 remaining and would go into the locker room up two points (35-33). Cornerstone came out in the second half much like they did the first half. Cornerstone made a 17-3 run in the first 4:39 of the second half to take a 50-38 lead. Cornerstone would maintain at least a 6 point advantage until the six minute mark. Davenport cut the lead to 4 points ((68-64) with 3:28 left in the game but that would be as close as they would get as the Golden Eagles went 10 for 10 from the line down the stretch to preserve the victory for Cornerstone. Cornerstone finishes in 2^nd alone behind Davenport for the regular season.
