Davenport's bench outscored Cornerstone's bench 18-1 in the game. They had a 15-4 advantage in 2nd Chance Points and a 15-7 in Points Off of Turnovers.  CU comitted 24 turnovers while Davenport only had 4.  DU finished the game on a 16-3 run. 

GAME FLOW

The Golden Eagles got a great start today outscoring the Panthers 19-9 in the 5:45 of the game. The Panthers would recover and make a 9-0 run of their own to make the score 19-18 with 11:42 on the clock. The Golden Eagles would not relinquish the lead for the remainder of the half. Davenport put on the pressure but they could not take the lead and the Golden Eagles took a 39-35 advantage into the locker room. The Panthers would come out in the 2nd half and make a 10-2 run in the first 3 ½ minutes of play to take a 45-41 advantage. The game went back and forth with a couple of ties over the next six minutes of play. The game was tied at 54-54 with 10:03 left in the game. Cornerstone took the advantage at that point but the game remained close for the next few minutes until Cornerstone began to extend their lead. The pushed the lead to 8 (65-57 at 5:35 and 69-61 at 3:34.) Unfortunately, the Panthers made a 10-2 run over the next 2:09 to tie the score at 71-71 with 1:23 on the clock. The Panthers took the lead and Cornerstone was forced to foul late and Davenport ended up with an 80-74 victory over Cornerstone. Seniors Samantha Flietstra scored 32 points (career high) and Melissa Veltkamp scored 26 for the Golden Eagles. Davenport wins their 6th straight WHAC Championship and earns the WHAC top seed with the win.
