The Golden Eagles trailed for the first 8 minutes of the first half before taking a 13-12 lead on two Justin Yoder free throws at 11:57. Cornerstone made a 9-3 run and increased their lead to 22-15 with 9:35 left in the half. The Warriors scored the next 8 points to reclaim the lead at 23-22 with 6:55 on the clock. Cornerstone would out score the Warriors 10-6 down the stretch to take a 33-29 into the locker room at the half. The Golden Eagles came out and extended their lead to 43-33 with 15:18 left in the second half. The Warrior made a 13-4 run over the next five minutes to cut the lead to 1 point (47-46) with 10:13 left. The teams traded leads over the next few minutes and Tech tied the score at 52-52 on the first of 2 free throws by Rodney Bartholomew. Tech ran off 9 straight points to take a 61-52 lead with 5 minutes left in the game. The Warriors extended the lead to 67-56 with 2:20 and the game looked to be all but over but the Golden Eagles responded with a an 11-2 run (69-67) capped off by a Dan Possehl 3-pointer with 1:00 left in the half. Rodney Bartholomew hit a foul shot with: 29 left in the game to give the Warriors a 3 point (70-67) lead. Cornerstone had a couple of shots to tied it but they wouldn't go down and Cornerstone would lose their second game to the Warriors this season.
