(Saginaw, Mich.) After a second week of two-a-day practice the Cornerstone University Women's Track & Field team competed at Saginaw Valley State University winning five events and earning two new national qualifying marks.
In the pole vault, Brandi Hagan took first, improving her season best to 11' 11.75". Amy Boyer was second in a personal best 11' 6" clearing the NAIA automatic qualifying standard by eight inches. Freshman, Liz Sanger finished sixth in a PR 10'.
Kayla Wilson won the long jump, going 16' 10.75" and Kay-De Vaughn took the triple jump in 35' 8.5".
Emma Ordway won the 400 meters with a season best 59.92, improving her provisional qualifying mark on the NAIA list.
Andi Ripley came .04 seconds away from an automatic qualifier in the mile. Her time of 5:14.89 was good for third place.
Kelly Peterson anchored the 4 x 400 meter relay behind Wilson, Ordway and Boyer. Their time of 4:05.97 was over six seconds ahead of host SVSU in second.
