Samantha Flietstra notched back-to-back double-doubles for Cornerstone to earn the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors.
The forward from Walker, Mich., recorded identical double-doubles with 21 points and 12 boards in both of the Golden Eagles' victories. She turned in an all-around game in a 69-64 win at Michigan-Dearborn, connecting on 8-of-9 shots from the field (89%) and had two assists, one block, and four steals. The senior followed that performance by shooting 50% and giving three assists during a 78-67 win at Indiana Tech.
Flietstra now has five double-doubles in the books and upped her season scoring average to 13.06. She moved to 10th in the nation for field goal percentage with a 0.548 percentage. Cornerstone improved to 12-6 and took sole possession of second place in the league at 5-1
