The Warriors shot 53.6% which included 4 of 7 from 3-point range in the second half and erased an 8 point (33-25) half time deficit.
The Warriors scored the opening basket to take a 3-0 lead but the lead would last long as the Golden Eagles would claim a 4-3 lead with 16:58 and would not trail again in the first half of play. The teams tied at 5-5, 7-7, and 11-11 before the Golden Eagles took a 13-11 lead on a Justin Yoder basket with 10:22 remaining. Cornerstone would keep the lead for the remainder of the half. The Golden Eagles increased the lead to as many as 8 and finished the half up 33-25. The Warriors came out and erased the lead in the first six minutes of the second half outscoring the Golden Eagles 12-4. The teams traded leads a couple of times over the next four minutes and tied again at 43-43 at 9:46. Indiana Tech took the lead on a 3-pointer at 9:21 and would not give it up for the remainder of the game. They built as much as a 10 point (62-52) lead with 2:44 left in the game. Cornerstone did battle back and whittled the lead down over the last two minutes but they ran out of time with the Warriors up 66-62 as time expired.
The Golden Eagles will travel to UM-Dearborn this Saturday to take on the Wolves at 3:00 p.m.
