Cornerstone University and head baseball coach David Mitroff are excited to announce the signing of Ryan Harris, a right-handed pitcher from Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois. As a junior, Harris was one of the top pitchers at Prairie Ridge and was instrumental in leading his team to a second place finish in the summer state tournament. He was one of three pitchers named to the all-tournament team after a dominant, complete-game four-hitter against perennial power, Nequa Valley.
When asked about Cornerstone University, Ryan Harris said, "I am extremely thankful for this opportunity and very excited to go to Cornerstone and study exercise science and coaching. The way that the Lord brought this opportunity to be coached by my coaches from high school and also the gift of being able to play baseball at Cornerstone is a dream come true. I hope that I can make a big impact for the school and the baseball team on and off the field."
Coach Mitroff said, "Ryan's leadership both on and off the field helped lead Prairie Ridge to the summer state championship game.Ryan is a bulldog on the mound and never stops working off of it."
