's record-setting week helped Cornerstone
post two victories and earned her the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference
(WHAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor. This is the second week in a row a Golden Eagles has received the honor with Katelyn Cousins
(Ada, Mich/Forest Hills Central) garnering the honor last week.
The Hudsonville, Mich. native scored a season-high 26 points to lift the Golden Eagles to a 68-55 win againstNorthwestern Ohio. She added four rebounds, two assists, and five steals and hit a career-high six three-point shots. Veltkamp followed with a career-high 32 points in an 87-56 win against Madonna and connected on 12-of-17 fieldgoals for a new school record. The senior added eight boards, four assists, and five steals.
Veltkamp currently leads the conference in scoring averaging 16.8 points per game. Cornerstone (6-4) takes the court again on Dec. 7 against Aquinas.
