GAME FLOW

The Golden Eagles led from start to finish today as they defeated Madonna 87-56 to improve to 2-0 in the WHAC. Ashley Moon sank a 3-pointer for the first basket of the half and Melissa Veltkamp sank a 3-pointer as time expired and it was all Cornerstone in between. The Golden Eagles made a 12-0 run to start the game. They followed that up with a 20-8 run to take a 32-8 lead with 9:07 left in the half. The Golden Eagles gradually added to that lead through the remainder of the half and went into the locker room with a commanding 50-15 lead. The Golden Eagles cooled off a bit in the second half but they did maintain the lead they created in the first half of play. Cornerstone only made 1-10 from beyond the arc in the second half and shot 44.4% from the field as they coasted to an 87-56 win over the Crusaders.
