The Golden Eagles started well and never looked back tonight as they would lead from start to finish. Cornerstone shot 53.3% from the field which included 6-13 from long range. Katelyn Cousins made 5 of 6 from beyond the arc in the first half of play.

GAME FLOW

The Golden Eagles made a 13-4 run to start the game. Katelyn Cousins scored 9 of those points on triple's. Olivet responded and made a 9-4 run to bring the score to 17-13. Olivet would scrap to keep the game close up through the 4:13 mark on the clock. Cornerstone would make a big run to finish the half. Katelyn Cousins and Ashley Moon dropped back to back 3-pointers to begin a 13-2 run to close out the half to put Cornerstone up 43-24 at the half. Cornerstone would push the lead to 20 (50-30) early in the second half and they would cruise from there. They built as much as a 28 point lead (69-41) with 7:05 on the clock. Olivet did cut the lead to 69-53 with 3:21 on the clock but they would not score again as the Golden Eagles defeated the Comets 78-53.

The Golden Eagles will have a little more than a week off and will return to play with their first WHAC game next Wednesday when they host UNOH at 5:30 in the first game of a double header with the men's team.
