KEY TEAM STATS
Cornerstone scored 28 points from the foul line today in their first win of the season. They also out rebounded Daemen 47-31 for the game.
The teams played fairly even for most of the first half. Neither team had more than a 6 point advantage through the first half. Cornerstone did take a 10 point lead (48-38) with 15:00 left in the second half only to see Daemen make a 12-3 run over the next 3:10 to draw to within 1 at 51-50. Daemen took their first lead (54-52) of the second half with 10:19 on the clock. The team swapped leads a few times until 5:48 left in the game. Cornerstone took the lead at 67-66 and would never relinquish it again as they extended the lead out over the remainder of the game. Cornerstone would finish with an 80-70 win.
The Golden Eagles will return to action tomorrow when they take on Kuyper College at 3:00 p.m. in Mol Arena.
