The Golden Eagles played their second game of the St. Francis (Ind.) Tournament against the host Cougars and they came up a little short in a 73-60 loss. Cornerstone held a 57-56 lead with 8:41 left in the second half but the Cougars sank a 3-pointer with 8:25 on the clock and they would not relinquish the lead for the remainder of the game. The Golden Eagles cut the lead back to 1 (60-59) with 7:14 but the Cougars would begin extending their lead through the remainder of the game and they finished with a 13 point win over Cornerstone. led the Golden Eagles with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Maria Schafer
had 14 in the loss. Cornerstone shot 47.3% from the field but only 15.8% (3 of 19) from behind the arc. Cornerstone will return to action on Wednesday when they host Goshen (Ind.) at 7;30 p.m.
