The Golden Eagles traveled down to Ft. Wayne and defeated Goshen College 62-38 in the first round of the St. Francis (IN) Tournament.  Sophomore Maria Schafer made 7 of 11 shots from behind the arc and led the Golden Eagles with 21 points.  Sam Flietstra had 8 points and 12 rebounds for Cornerstone.  Janae Trombley and Melissa Veltkamp both scored in double figures with 13 and 10 points respectively.  Cornerstone shot 39.3% from behind the arc which was better than their overall percentage of 35.7% from the floor for the game.  Cornerstone will return to action tomorrow when they take on host University of St. Francis at 1:00 p.m.
