The Golden Eagles traveled over to Davenport with a chance to wrap up the WHAC regular season title and that is exactly what they did with a 3-0 win over the Panthers.  The teams played to a 0-0 scoreless tie in the first half with Davenport out shooting the Golden Eagles 11-4 for the period.   The Golden Eagles came out in the second half and scored in the 48th minute of play.  Brian Nimmo took a ball over the top of the defense and beat the GK in a 1 v 1 to make it 1-0.  The Golden Eagles struck again in the 80th minute of play on a similar ball to Isaac Grotenhuis and he calmly slipped the ball by the Panthers keeper to make it 2-0.  The Golden Eagles made it 3-0 in the 86th minute of play on yet another 1 v 1 with Brian Nimmo collecting his second goal of the night.  Cornerstone wraps up the WHAC title with the win.  The Golden Eagles will be traveling to Ft. Wayne on Saturday to take on Indiana Tech at 2:30 p.m.  Cornerstone will get a bye in the first round of the WHAC tournament and will host the winner of #4 vs. #5 seed in the tournament.
