Coach Campbell had a feeling this match with the Northwestern Racers had the makings of going 5 games, well his prediction came true.  The Golden Eagles dropped the first game 25-20 to the Racers but responded tying the match 1-1 with a 25-18 win.  Northwestern Ohio used a mini-run in game 3 to win 25-19 but Cornerstone once again came back and took game four 25-16.  The Golden Eagles took an early lead in the fifth game behind the super-hero powers of senior Jodi Grandholm (7-2).  The Racers cut the lead to 13-11 off a bad set but a kill by Jodi Grandholm followed by a kill by Abby Miedema led to a 15-11 five game win over UNOH.
Cornerstone improves to 23-3 overall and 7-0 in the WHAC setting up a WHAC showdown at Indiana Tech next week Wednesday.  Kate Zwier led the team with 13 kills while Kim Weaver finished with 12 and Miedema and Grandholm added 10.  Cornerstone had 8 team blocks to UNOH's 5.  Alii Prus and Lauren Pierce added 17 digs each.  The Racers fall to 18-12 overall and 3-3 in the WHAC.

Cornerstone will place in a tri-match at Grace Bible College on Saturday, Oct. 22.
