(North Manchester, Ind.) Strong winds slowed the times at the Manchester College Cross Country Invitational, but didn't prevent the Cornerstone men from racing well.
In four meets this season, three different Golden Eagles have led the team with the top four men racing very well together. On this day, Louis Falland proved to have the better finishing kick, leading the group with his fourth place finish in 26:33. Freshman, Thomas Bambach was three seconds back in sixth followed by juniors Travis Mabe seventh in 25:41 and Jared Courtright eighth in 26:43. Cody Risch ran 27:45 to place22nd. Tyler Grey ran extremely well considering the conditions, lowering his personal best to 28:27.
The hosts from Manchester just edged out Cornerstone for the win with 45 points. CU was second with 47 followed by Goshen with 64 in the eight team field.
October 22nd the men race at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge held at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids.
