The Golden Eagles needed seven games to score their first four goals but they only needed one more to double that total for the year as they blanked Cedarville 4-0 tonight. Matt Osorio
put the Golden Eagles on the board in the 33rd minute of play by stealing a ball at the top of the box and depositing it in the upper corner of the goal. Jake Stanko put the Golden Eagles up 2-0 after the break taking advantage of a Yellow Jacket miscue in 76th minute of play. Stanko turned and finished the ball past the GK. Isaac Grotenhuis
made it 3-0 just four minutes later. Grotenhuis picked up a loose ball around the top of the box and beat the Yellow Jacket keeper to his lower right. Stanko scored his 2nd goal of the game with three minutes remaining in the game to give Cornerstone the 4-0 win. The Golden Eagles and Yellow Jackets both recorded 13 shots in the game. Cornerstone will return home to take on Northland International on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
