The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) named Riley Steen of Cornerstone University and Kelsey Duley of Aquinas College Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for women's soccer.
Steen, a junior midfielder from Farmington Hills, Mich., scored three goals on the week. She netted the lone goal in a 3-1 loss at Spring Arbor University (Mich.) before scoring two in a 3-2 win against Cardnial Stritch University (Wis.). Cornerstone sits at 2-4-1 overall and travels to Goshen College (Ind.) on Sept. 20.
A senior from Cadillac, Mich., Duley recorded back-to-back shutouts for Aquinas. The keeper had five saves during a 1-0 win at Goshen (Ind.) and four more in a 4-0 win at Marygrove College (Mich.). The Saints improved to 6-3 overall and faces Bethel College (Ind.) on Sept. 22.
