The Golden Eagles conceded two goal in less than a minute to go down 0-2 in the 28th minute of play today but they did respond with a late goal in the first half to go into the lockerroom down on 2-1. Rachel Wood
played a through ball to Kelley Ritsema
who dribbled the length of the offensive half of the field and put the ball by the Huntington keeper to put the Golden Eagles back in the game. Cornerstone tied the score up in the 47th minute of the game when Melissa McIntire
crossed the ball from the left side of the field and the GK parried off the cross bar and Anna Duckworth
played the ball into the open net. The Golden Eagles went back down 3-2 a couple of minutes later when they followed up a rebound of their own for the game winner in the 48th minute. The Golden Eagles will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Spring Arbor to play at 7:00 p.m.
