Cornerstone University welcomes Ashley Niedermayer to the Women's Basketball Program. Ashley Niedermayer from Buffalo Grove, Ill. has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Cornerstone beginning in the fall of 2011.

Ashley is a three sport athlete for Adlai E Stevenson in Lincolnshire Ill. The 5'11 forward was a starter for basketball, field hockey and softball. Niedermayer shot 59% from the floor, dished out 46 assists and had 46 steals her senior year. She is a two time all-stater in field hockey and was named all-area and all conference in softball. She also participated in the National Honor Society, Hunger Awareness Club and Spanish Club at Adlai Stevenson.

Coach Fles

"Ashley comes from a very strong athletic program at Adlai Stevenson. She gives us size and athleticism in the post and I feel has a tremendous amount of potential. Ashley is also an outstanding student and we are happy she chose Cornerstone to continue her athletic career."

Why she chose Cornerstone

"I chose Cornerstone because I was looking for a Christian atmosphere where I could build Christian relationships. I also really liked how friendly and personable the team was."
