SILVIS, Ill. - (Results) Oklahoma Christian strengthened its hold on the lead after the Second Round of the 2011 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships at TPC Deere Run. The Eagles couldn't match their sizzling opening round 3-under-par 281, but settled for a 9-over-par 293 to increase their lead to 11 shots with a two-day total of 574.
With weather again playing a major role as the Second Round was played over two days. The entire 156-player field got through eight or nine holes Wednesday before rains forced a stoppage in play. The teams returned to the course Thursday morning to complete the round.
The Third Round of play began with a shotgun start Thursday at 1 p.m. CDT. After the Third Round, the field will be cut to the top-17 teams and 40 individuals, including ties, prior to Friday's Final Round.
