Freshman Heidi Warmelink was named an NAIA softball All-American. The former Wayland standout from Dorr, Michigan was one of two Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference student athletes to be recognized by the NAIA. Heather Brusokus from Davenport was also named to the Honorable Mention team. Warmelink ranked 8th in the NAIA in runs batted with 47 for a 1.24 average and her .438 batting average led the WHAC. She also had a slugging percentage of .705% and hit 8 home runs. Warmelink pitched 30 games, 161 innings and was 16-9. Her 2.70 ERA ranked 7th in the WHAC.
