Game 1

The Warriors scored one run in the first inning after back to back singles and an Anderson double up the middle to take a 1-0 lead. In the second inning Tech scored three more runs on three hits and followed that up with a 5^th lead-off homer by Megan Groce. The Golden Eagles threatened in the top of the 6^th notching 3 hits but three runners were left on base. Heidi Warmelink opened the 7^th inning with a single to the shortstop but CU was unable to score and finished with a 5-0 loss at Tech. Madison Bucilla struck out 4 batters and took the loss.  

Game 2
The Warriors started the second game just like the first scoring two runs in the first innings. Tech added four more runs in the bottom of the 5^th to take a commanding 6-0 lead. The Golden Eagles rallied in the 6^th beginning with a Warmelink single to shortstop and then advanced to second on a wild pitch. Melanie Creager hit a two run home run followed by a Bucilla home run to left center field to score the third run and cut the lead to 3-6. CU couldn't complete the comeback and end the day with their two losses. Warmelink (7-6) struck out 2 batters for the loss. Cornerstone falls to 13-11 overall and 4-6 in the WHAC while the Warriors improve to 28-10 and 8-1 in the WHAC. The Golden Eagles will travel to UM-Dearborn on Thursday, April 14.
