(Adrian, Mich.) Mild weather at the Adrian College All-American Invitational, along with good competition produced good performances for the CU Women's Track & Field team.
Amy Boyer got the day started by winning the high jump. Her 5' 5" clearance tied her personal best and equaled the NAIA provisional qualifying standard.
In other field event action, Brandi Harr and Alicia Dorko of Aquinas both cleared 11' 1" in the pole vault with Dorko taking the win with fewer misses. Lauren Pierce took second in the long jump with a personal best of 16' 6.75"
On the track, Chelsea Bisher lowered her season best in the 400 meters to 1:02.65 for sixth while Jill Louisignau lowered her PR in the 1500 to 5:07.00 for seventh. Pierce made her debut in the 400 meter hurdles clocking 1:09.52 for fourth. Boyer clipped 1/100th off her best time in the 200 meters taking second in 26.01.
Pierce, Bischer, Boyer and Louisignau combined to win the 4 x 400 meters in 4:09.99, holding off a late charge from Siena Heights who took second in 4:11.15.
