The Golden Eagles clinched the WHAC regular season title and the #1 seed for the WHAC Tournament with a 93-76 win over Concordia tonight. Concordia took an early lead but the Golden Eagles responded to tie the game at 13-13 with 12:44 left in the half. Cornerstone made a 13-2 run to take a 26-15 lead about mid-way through the first half. The Golden Eagles would maintain a double digit lead for the remainder of the half and finish with a 48-36 lead. The Cardinals would cut the lead to 9 points on a couple of occasions but that would be as close as they would get in the 2nd half. Cornerstone would push the lead to as much as 19 (93-74) late in the half and would finish the game with a 93-76 win to claim the WHAC regular season title.
The #3 Golden Eagles will travel over to Davenport to finish the regular season. That game will be carried on the internet.
