It was the battle for first place in the WHAC and it turned out to be a very good game to watch as the Golden Eagles held on and defeated the Panthers 84-76. The first half featured 3 ties and 13 lead changes as the teams battled back and forth. The Golden Eagles largest lead of the half came at the end of the half after making a 10-0 run over the last 2:58 of play. The Golden Eagles shot 56.7% (17-30) from the floor in the first half. Cornerstone maintained about a 10 point margin for the first 10 minutes of the second half. The Panthers cut the lead below 10 (60-52) with 10:14 left in the game and then whittled the score down to (64-63) with 5:57 left in the half.
