The Golden Eagles opened the Cornerstone Invitational with a conference win over UM-Dearborn 3-2. Head Coach Ryan Campbell moved outside hitter Becky Albrecht to setter for the match and the move paid off. Albrecht finished with 44 assists, 6 kills and 20 digs for the match.

CU won the first game 25-18 but the Wolves countered with a 25-22 win to tie it at 1-1. CU won by 10 points in the third 25-15 and the Wolves countered once again winning the fourth 25-23 to set up the deciding fifth set. The Golden Eagles finished with 8 kills to UM-Dearborn's 4 kills and hit .250 for the game to -.042 by Dearborn. Abby Meidema led the team with 13 kills and tied a team high 22 digs. Alicia TerHaar posted 10 kills, 6 blocks and 22 digs while Jodi Grandholm finished with 11 kills and 3 block assists.

Cornerstone was 1-7 in matches that have gone in 5 games but CU overcame the odds and won 15-10 to get their 5th conference win of the season (6-9 WHAC) and kept hold of 6th place in the WHAC. The Wolves fall to 2-13 in the conference.

In the final match of the evening CU took on Purdue North Central and once again the match went 5 games. CU won their third five game match of the season winning 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 19-25, 15-12.
