The Golden Eagles traveled to cross town rival Aquinas College looking to upset the Saints. The Saints entered the game with an 11-2 overall record and they were 1-0 in the WHAC. The Golden Eagles stood at 4-5-2 and 0-0-1 in the WHAC. Mitch Torres scored the first goal for the Saints at the 24:44 mark to take the early lead 1-0. The Golden Eagles had 10 shots in the first half but were not able to capitalize.
Aquinas' Ruben Ornelas-Luna scored in the 76th minute to push the lead to 2-0. The Golden Eagles avoided the shut-out when Chris Wisen connected with Jordan Wilson in the 80th minute to get CU on the board and cut the lead to 2-1. Shots were fairly even as CU finished with 14 to the Saints 13. Aquinas got a few more good looks at the goal finishing with 7 shots on goal to Cornerstone's 4.

The Saints improved to 11-3-0 overall and 2-0 in the WHAC while CU goes to 4-6-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the WHAC. Cornerstone will host Madonna on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 2:30p.m.
