ROCHESTER (10/8) After a week of cooler weather, the temperature returned to the mid seventies for the Michigan Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Oakland University.

Cornerstone's women raced well in the seventeen team field. Freshman, Jill Louisignau and sophomore, Audry Yonge were never more than a few strides apart for the two-and-one-half trips around the 2,000 meter circuit. Louisignau clocked a season best 19:53 with Younge earning a personal best 19:55.

Freshman, Brianna Hansen also lowered her PR, running 20:37 followed closely by Julia Contreras at 20:46 and Janelle Brown's 20:54.

The Golden Eagles tied conference rivals, Siena Heights for sixth with both teams totaling 189 points. Calvin College won with 34 followed by Aquinas at 51.

The team returns to Grand Rapids for their next meet on October 23 at Riverside Park.
