(Marion, Ind.) The Indiana Wesleyan Invitational did not treat the Golden Eagles kindly. On Friday the host Wildcats handed CU their first loss of the weekend winning the first two games of the match 20-25, 10-25. CU rebounded, taking game three with a 25-22 decision and hitting a .343 percentage. Indiana Wesleyan won the fourth game 20-25. Alicia TerHaar and Abby Miedema led the team with 7 kills each and TerHaar added a team high 8 digs. Tamara Bethke dished out 18 assists and the team tallied 5 team blocks. Wesleyan held CU to .157 hitting percentage on the day.
CU faced their second MCC opponent of the day in Bethel College. The Golden Eagles ended the day with a 3-2 loss to the Pilots. Bethel won the first game 20-25 before CU took the next two 25-17, 25-20. The Pilots took the fourth game 17-25 and finished the match with a 9-15 decision. The two losses give CU an overall record of 7-8.
