GRAND RAPIDS (9/18) A ninety-minute thunderstorm passed through the Gainey Athletic Complex, ending just before the Knight Invitational hosted by Calvin College. The women's 5,000 meter race got underway with just a couple muddy patches over the mostly flat course.

Cornerstone was led for the second time this season by sophomore, Audry Yonge. Her time of 20:10 was just five seconds off her best time and put her 49th in the field of 195. Freshman, Jill Louisignau finished three seconds back in 44th with Mindy Lewis in 20:26 and 64th. Senior, Janelle Brown took 75th in 20:36 and Brianna Hansen completed the team scoring with a personal best 20:56 for 94th.

The Golden Eagles totaled 267 points placed 9th out of 14 teams, beating Spring Arbor, ranked 17th in the NAIA this week, by 20 points.

Calvin scored 39 points for the win ahead of Ohio Northern's 69.
