(Georgetown, Ky.) Coming off a seven hour bus trip, it took the Golden Eagles one game to get warmed up as Indiana Southeast won the first game of the Georgetown Tournament 16-25. CU gathered themselves and won the next three games 25-15, 25-21 and 26-24. Alicia TerHaar led the team with 12 kills on 34 attempts (.324). TerHaar also led the team with 9 digs. Erin Greenwood dished out a team high 16 assists and Tamara Bethke added 14. Kate Zwier finished with 10 kills.
The Golden Eagles faced #18 Georgetown College in the final match of the day and the Tigers proved to be a top 25 team winning in three straight games 20-25, 15-25, 16-25. TerHaar was the kill leader with 9. The team was held to a .119 hitting percentage. Greenwood collected 8 assists and TerHaar was the dig and block leader with 9 and 2 respectively. The Golden Eagles are 4-6 on the season and hope to finish .500 by the end of the weekend.
