(Joliet, Ill.) St. Francis scored the games first goal at 1:48 minute mark and CU was not able to recover. The Saints scored their second and third goal at 12:34 and 21:23 to take a 3-0 lead before the Golden Eagles were able to get on the scoreboard with a Nate Weflen goal at 43:21. St. Francis had 8 shot in the first half to CU's 4. The second half CU's offensive attack ignited but not before the Saints scored their fourth goal at 45:47. Victor Trujillo finished with two goals on the day for St. Francis.
CU's Jordan Wilson scored his first goal of the season on a Nate Weflen assist at the 55:34 mark. Ten minutes later Jacob Stanko scored the games final goal at the 65:43 mark. Brett Crooks and Chris Wisen were credited with the assist. CU had 8 shots in the second half to the Saints 4 and both teams finished with 12 shots each and 8 shots on goal each. Cornerstone falls to 1-3-1 on the season while the Saints get their first win of the season (1-3-0). The Golden Eagles host Robert Morris at 2:30pm on Saturday, September 11.
