(Chicago, Ill.) The Golden Eagles travelled over to Chicago to take on St. Xavier tonight and played well overall but gave up a 2nd half goal and ended up losing the game 1-0. St. Xavier outshot the Golden Eagles 10-2 in the first half but the Golden Eagles came out in the 2nd half and outshot the Cardinals 10-4. Both teams finished with 5 shots on goal. Kyle Breckan made a very good save in the 2nd half to keep the Golden Eagles in the game. Cornerstone had a couple of very good chances prior to the Cougar goal but just couldn't put the ball in the net. "It was a great team effort against a very good team" stated Coach Bell. The Golden Eagles will return to action this Friday when they take on Huntington University at the University of St. Francis Tournament in Fort Wayne, Ind. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. Cornerstone will play Marian University on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
